Pizza Hut upon Avon

On Saturday we drove down to see Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. On the way we read from our guidebook, "Stratford is the most overrated tourist magnet in England, but nobody back home would understand if you skipped Shakespeare's house". We went past the house but the crowds of tourists and long lineups kept us from paying the 6.50 pounds each (around 15$ Canadian) to take a look inside. Stratford seemed like the perfect town to see tourists. Scores of them. And this photo demonstrated the juxtaposition of Stratford. The old and the new jumbled together, mostly appealing to the summer crowds. Maybe we'll go back in the fall.
