Raiders

The sun was shining and the Jamie started to laugh 'for real' today (on her 3-month birthday), so we decided to head off on a search for the ark of the covenant, containing the ten commandments on stone tablets. Apparently the ark is buried somewhere nearby. The first stop on our quest was a 12th century church in Burton Dassett. Here the Knights Templar left a series of strange clues on the walls revealing the place where the ark was buried. Heather (as featured above) and Josh (not featured) searched the beautiful church in vain until Jamie filled the room with echoes of discontentment. We then tried to find a holy well by a river in Napton-on-the-Hill, said to be the final resting place of the buried ark (see photo below). A tablet of Mount-Sinai rock with inscriptions was pulled from this riverbank a few years ago. We had hoped to find the holy well and the ark of the covenant this afternoon but unfortunately, we had to rush back to a grocery store in Kenilworth before closing to collect empty cardboard boxes. Hopefully in a few weeks time we'll return to find the ark and post the pictures on our blog. It would make a nifty cot for Jamie.

If you're planning on using the ark for a cot for Jamie, could I have whatever is inside it?
Can't wait to hear Jamie's laugh! I remember wondering when my kids were that small what their voices would sound like once they started talking. Now that they are talking I wonder what they are going to be like when they are older...
Love,
Auntie Meggie

Isn't the first sound of your baby's laugh just the most delightful music in the world!?!?!?! Congratulations on this incomparable first!

Sure Meghan - you can keep the loot.

And mom, it is the most delightful thing. We suspect that the laugh is developing still. She's changing so fast!
