Ticket to Ride
Two weeks before her 4th birthday, Jamie exclaimed that she couldn't hear her training wheels anymore and reasoned that she must be ready to bike without them. Since this first hour of biking solo (shown in the video below), Jamie has fallen in love with wheeling around the neighborhood, biking to the store with daddy for freezies, and circling endlessly on the round path at the local playground. Ahhh, spring.P.S. April 30th is her big day... she's so excited.

First of all, Josh, nice song choice! Love the riding sequences..and the hilarious falling consequences, especially the last one. A few times I found myself wanting to yell out to passing cars or 'being followed' walkers "LOOK OUT. eradic driver on the loose!"
Comedy gold. We laughed, we cried. We laughed so hard we cried.
We thought we needed to suggest that you examine the alignment on that bike; it looked like it was pulling to the left. But the falling sequence at the end (which was truly hilarious) showed us that Jamie doesn't discriminate against falling to any particular side. (By the way, her falls looked so controlled. Did you teach her how to do that safely?!?)
Thanks for sharing! We've been totally inspired to try it with Sam this summer.

Ah so much to applaud - I love the bandy legs, the wobbles, the multiple attempts to get back on the bike (you have one tenacious girl there!) and the casual nature with which Daddy allows to her to speed to the corner of the street! Well done Jamie and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! As an aside, please tell me your son has freakishly long legs and advanced co-ordination? Cian can't even reach the peddles on his trike let alone master self-propulsion...
Betcha she slept well that night! Way to go Jaime and HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)
