Abbey

On Sunday afternoon we went to Stoneleigh Abbey, which is a ten-minute drive from our house. It has been around for 800 years and was even owned by Jane Austen's grandparents. She described the house in her novel, Manesfield Park (Ch. 10-12). Out front was a cricket game on what has been described as the "most picturesque cricket pitch in England". We watched for a while but decided that we'd rather watch NHL any day.
