Dead centre of Kenilworth

We had the pleasure of a visit from some Canadian friends early this week. Andrew and Josh were good friends and PhD students together at UBC. Andrew and Jess are currently travelling the globe (Scotland, England and Spain) while writing their theses, in search of future research opportunities. We did the obligatory castle tour, visit to Coventry cathedral and stop for a pub dinner - lamb's liver for Josh and Andrew! Just before leaving Kenilworth this morning we wandered around the grounds of St. Nicholas church. The still-functioning church and its associated abbey ruins date back to around 1200 AD, similar in age and stone to Kenilworth Castle.

Hey-

I think that St Nicholas is our church in Hawaii's sister church!

Small world, eh?
