Thirteen

At 13 months old, Jamie is a bundle of juxtapositions: busy and watchful, cuddly and independent, careful and an adrenaline junkie. She initiates games with us, insisting that we chase her around the house, 'babysit' her favourite soft toys, or bounce her on the bed repeatedly. She's very adventurous in the bath, throwing herself backwards to make waves, and tentatively blowing bubbles in the water. All of the changes these last couple of weeks have been taken in stride, and she greets visitors at the door fairly nonchalantly, aware that this is more or less an open house these days.
