We did a budget taster-tour of Scotland with Mom and Dad Douglas last week, taking in Edinburgh, Douglas castles, Glen Nevis, the Talisker distillery (!) and the Isle of Skye. As the photos attest, the weather cooperated, giving us atmospheric castle days and gorgeous hikes through the glens. Don't ask about the ticks.

You can ask, but only Jamie can really tell you... she'll take a couple of steps on her own, but has determined that it's much faster when she's holding on to a finger or two. Soon, we think.
