It's beginning to look...

We spent an hour this morning 'enjoying' (Josh: shovelling) the 15cm of snow that fell last night. It was perfectly timed to coincide with our brand-new Christmas lights, which elicit 'pitty' and 'wow' from Jamie. She trudged forward fearlessly into the waist-high drifts, but was repeatedly frustrated at her inability to maintain a standing position. Mommy demonstrated the snow-angel technique, and how to eat snow, while Daddy cleared a path so she could explore a little more easily. Apparently this winter is going to be the coldest on record in 15 years. Josh wants a snow-blower.

I have many memories of each of my kids first time out walking in the snow! The frustration they felt every time they fell over!
Jamie looks well protected!

What a great family picture! Unlike you guys, Nathanael didn't have any trouble with the snow....he didn't even bother trying to stand! He just rolled around, and licked the snow, happy as a clam, until his mittens fell off, then the screaming started!

First of all - I have to do a double-take because of the resemblance between Jamie and Michaela, especially in that snowsuit! Secondly, about Josh and the weather. During the years you lived in B.C. they had record low levels of precipitation until just after you left there, right? Beautiful, sunny weather. Ditto with England, right? Have you secretly been hoping for a real good old-fashioned Canadian winter?

Heh heh, I'm not at liberty to discuss our weather intentions at the moment. Suffice it to say, it has snowed every day for a week now. :)

Oh, and we have Michaela to thank for all of Jamie's clothes... Thanks Michaela!

Beautiful snow! You guys look like you fit right in with that weather.

I totally wish I were there. We had about 3 inches of snow on the weekend, and it actually stayed for Saturday and Sunday, but late Sunday evening it started to rain and it was all gone very quickly. So sad! I'm hoping for more before Christmas.
