Scotland's finest

On Saturday evening we were treated to a second-to-none whiskey-tasting evening with friends from work. Everyone pitched in and brought dessert (or whisky) and we tasted the very best malts from the Speyside, Highland and Islay regions of Scotland. Josh's personal favorites are The Dalmore, Laphroig and Ardbeg. Papa, we thought of you and wish you could have been there... and Hendrik, thanks for the curry!

With the risk of sounding patronising: whyskEY is Bourbon (and Irish, I believe), whereas whyskY is Scotch. Interesting subtleties, ey?

I noticed that most of those bottles looked half empty! Or did it feel more like half full by the end of the evening ;)

Thanks Dorothea, I've fixed the spelling. Although 'whysky' - are you sure there are two 'y's in there?
