Gums

Josh mastered the art of picking up these blue-tongued skinks (known as bobtails down under) the first time he was in WA, and now communes with them (aka terrorizes them) every chance he gets. They have a terribly frightening snapping mouth with a threatening blue tongue that it shows off when approached (see Josh's demonstration above). All this serves remarkably well to detract from the fact that its bite is no more than harmless gums - no teeth at all. This one was found near the door of the administration building at Strathalbyn Christian College, to which Heather's parents have dedicated the last seven years of their lives. Dad took us for an impressive tour of all the changes they've made. The school looks completely different from when Heather went there in Year 9!
