Vaseline and corn starch

You know how sometimes you just trust that your kids understand that certain things are not to be done? We've been putting vaseline on Jamie's face for a couple of weeks now to keep a patch of dry skin under control, and had the container sitting within her reach on her bookshelf. During her naptime yesterday she decided to take matters into her own hands (and hair), and was found smiling, shiny-faced and spiky-haired when Mommy went to get her up. With six shampoo sessions, one dose of cornstarch (pictured above) and some dish soap to boot, she's still greasy.

Absolutely hilarious! Initiative - gotta love it, especially those of us who don't have to figure out how to remove vaseline, or ketchup/mustard, or... ! Way to go, Jamie! What a talented girl!

I for one think it's a great look for her. Perhaps we have a future punk-rocker on our hands. Yay Jamie!

oh so funny!!! I understand that a baking soda paste "shampoo" is a solution also! considering what seems "traumatic", she seems relatively amused in the photo...
