Butterfly Effect

What's the connection between this:
and these:
and this?
Answer: Our family, spreading its wings a little and having unimagined consequences. On Sunday afternoon we headed out to a local school, perched on top of a hill overlooking the Kitchener Airport. We had a great (free!) view of the airshow, and entertained ourselves between fly-by's with a little flying of our own, of kites. The snowbirds flew directly over us at the very beginning of their set, only to then disappear somewhere far away for the next fifteen minutes or so, which prompted much muttering and grumbling in our ranks. Then we heard the sirens. Two police bikes came charging over the grass field, asking "Who was flying a kite here?". We owned up with much chagrin and confusion, to be told good-humouredly that the Snowbirds saw our kite and delayed their show. The Snowbirds then condescended to return, at which point we watched their show politely with the policemen, who decided to stay and make sure we kept our kites grounded.
P.S. When they first arrived, Josh commented to the policemen that he thought they had come because of all the beer we were drinking. Fortunately they had a good sense of humour, indicating "well that wouldn't have been a problem. Flying a kite on the other hand...".
