Monkey Mia

We travelled to the ominously named Shark Bay to discover some of the more spectacular Australian fauna. Monkey Mia hosts dolphins, dugongs, turtles and emus, among others, and we took advantage of a catamaran trip to view the marine life.
Each morning the dolphins come to visit shore for a feed, which continues an historical bad-practice legacy, and the kids were lucky enough to feed one a fish and see a new baby dolphin.
On our way home, the drag net was hauled out for a shot of adrenaline. We almost lost Justin! We also managed to find our way to a dark spot for some stargazing. The Milky Way is very obvious in the southern hemisphere.
Justin's happy "back to the car" walk nicely sums up how we all felt about this exciting holiday weekend down under.
