Waiting

With only three days to go (April 25th is the due date), Heather is feeling 'good and ready', Josh runs straight up the wall when startled, his coworkers have started a lottery pool on the due date, we've finally settled on names (pretty much anyway), packed our hospital bag, prepared the baby's room (complete with crib, changing table and black-out blind), gone for several long walks to 'get things going', and are taking the herbal stuff they recommend (raspberry leaf and primrose oil). On Monday we have a final ultrasound and check up to make sure that the baby is still comfortable. After that they will decide whether it is safe to try waiting for a natural labour or whether they'll induce. We're excited and scared but indeed, good and ready. We'll try and update the blog a little more frequently over the next week, beginning with a post on Monday evening after our scan.

Hi you three! Josh, you were 10 days late arriving, so I wonder if you might want to prepare yourselves for another couple of weeks of waiting! In the meantime, what do you think of posting some pictures of the baby's room, ready and waiting!?!? Anyway, excitement is building, and we can hardly wait. My guess for ETA is our anniversary, Friday May 5th. Are you taking guesses on time, birth weight, etc.? Are you offering any prizes? Love, Mom (Grandma)

We're beginning to wonder if we may have a week or two more to go - good to know about my 10 days - thanks for the head's up! And about all these guesses, we're most curious about boy/girl...

A baby room picture - ok. Although it's not much to look (a little plain), but we'll get something posted...

Heather, keep it in until the 26th: there's atleast £10 to be won if I get the date right!

I'm finding it hysterical how Josh jumps 3 miles out of his chair at work everytime his mobile rings.
