Now that Josh is back at work, we are discovering a new routine. Heather is doing her best to sleep whenever possible during the day as Josh yawns his way through each experiment. Yesterday evening was a little trying though - Jamie cried or fussed for most of the evening until she finally fell asleep at midnight and stayed asleep for just over 5 hours (a no-no, we know!). So we were quite relieved this evening when Jamie was friendly and alert, letting us finish another two episodes of '24' (season 4). One more hour to go!
Heather is quite proud of Jamie's new rolls of fat - she's now topping our kitchen scale at 9 lbs 5 oz.
Note: Jack Bauer is Josh's hero - "I think you're making a big mistake! Here's how I would play this out".

About 1/2 way through season 1. It's intense. It's like one huge show, have a hard time calling it quits at night. Unfortunately Meghan was away when I started watching it, so I think I'm going alone in this new addiction.
Congrats on almost reaching the big milestone (completion of season 4 that is). That was us a few months back. Which means we've watched 96 hours (ok, they're commercial free on DVD so it's not actually 96 hours, but still...)
Now we're just waiting for the next season to come out on DVD. Last weekend we (I) got desperate and watched "The Sentinal" in the theatres just to see "Jack Bauer" again, in spirit at least...

ADORABLE! And when you said, 9 lb. 5 oz. I couldn't help but want to tell you that Meghan was exactly that weight when she was born! So as you look at Jamie right now, you can imagine having a baby born at that size! I remember thinking that Meghan never did seem like a newborn! Anyway, Jamie is absolutely gorgeous! By the way, I'm glad you've consented to pink. I know nothing about these matters, but I've been told that pink is in! And it's Auntie Sha-sha's favourite colour, too! Love you all, and can hardly wait to see you!!!
C+J, was 'The Sentinal' any good?
And mom, Meghan just emailed me and let me know that both Micah and Elizabeth were heavier than Jamie when born. Good grief, eh?
Yes, Micah and Elizabeth certainly were (and are) real little bruisers! One other thing that I thought of when seeing Jamie's lovely new rolls and dimples of baby fat, is that when you come to think of it, Heather - as long as you are only breastfeeding, every bit of that beautiful healthy chubbiness is directly thanks to you! Isn't that an awesome thought!
Heather,
I think Josh could put a little weight on too, don't you think?
Are you guys actually trying to wake up that poor little baby in the middle of her naps to get her on some kind of schedule? Sounds like 2 scientist parents. Just set her in front of the TV when she wakes up in the middle of the night. When she starts crawling you can leave some cereal on the kitchen floor the night before so you can sleep in. Just look how my kids turned out.

Josh: I liked it. And the big action scene is in Toronto, of all places, which was kind of entertaining.
