No place like home

It was Vancouver where we first met and fell in love... with sushi. We still talk of the 'good old days' when we could eat all the sushi our stomachs could hold from the sushi bar a block away for $1.85. Point is: it was good and cheap.

But Heather has been practicing.

And the other night, it was with tears in our eyes that we beheld the culinary perfection to which our barely-adequate photograph bears witness. Thank you Heather. For the sushi. And the soy sauce. And the wasabi. Actually, a little too much wasabi on a couple of pieces.

Again, tears in our eyes.

I'm doing this soon. Maybe with less wasabi.

I've never tried sushi. Maybe when you guys come this summer you could introduce Aaron and I to what sushi has to offer! Mom and Dad (AKA Grandma and Grandpa) could babysit! You'll see the advantages of living close to relatives!!
Love,
Meghan

£1.85! That's less than an English pound! Are you sure you weren't being fed some kind of sub-standard imitation food?

We were -ahem- exaggerating on the price a little... but it was cheap! Remembering correctly, our meal for two always cost between $7-$8. A real bargain, eh?

Sushi is fish, right, but without the batter?
Can't have everything, but hope Heather managed to make some chips to go with it though.

Well, we had the mushy peas. You Brits know that that's what wasabi is, right? Try a bite sometime!
