Tough times

To say the least, Christmas in Australia is a unique experience. Shrimp on the barbie (thanks Bill and Rose!), snorkeling (with sting rays, octopi, and fish bejeweled in color), and ocean kayaking (thanks Paul!) are a few of the pre-Christmas pastimes we've enjoyed this visit. And a proud parent milestone: from the pool featured above, Jamie began excitedly shouting her first word (dog - oft-pronounced 'gog!') while waving her arm in the universal tail-wagging dog sign.
