How big a horse would you let YOUR kids ride?

The Waterloo Region Museum has a pioneer village that, until now, we've only seen in the summer. We hit it up this afternoon for some old-fashioned Christmas cheer. Dashing through the snow on a two horse open wagon... that kind of thing. They had shortbread and cider, friendly pioneers, Father Christmas roaming the village green and harmonious Edwardian carols in the church. We loved it! Jamie was especially attentive and polite, to the point where we were checking her forehead for fever. She was fine, just enamoured with the olden days like the rest of us.
