By any other name

Jamie was several days late and so the baby's coating had already been absorbed, leaving the skin on her hands and feet a little dry and cracked. Apparently this is normal and peels off over the next few weeks. We marveled at her tiny hands and feet.
Note: of course we're nervous about making mistakes. Didn't take long to make our first. On seeing Jamie's hands this morning, Josh quickly ran down to the hospital store and bought her some baby lotion. We now discover that it's best to let that skin peel off and use only water at first. Nuts.
