Newest addition

Josh's mission to Waterloo was quite simple: buy a house. But, as he flew into Toronto on his dad's birthday, how could he resist saying a quick hello, celebrating with some fine Canadian microbrew and a quick and cherished visit with his parents and their new puppy (Kazan). The visit turned into a surprise visit with sisters and kids joining in. A relaxing evening with such good memories. Thanks for putting up with the jetlag... Happy birthday dad! And as for the house, we have made an offer, it was accepted, and now we wait until Tuesday for the inspection results. Fingers crossed.

Congrats on the house- how exciting! Happy Birthday Mr. Neufeld. And what a cute puppy! What kind is he? He looks like he will be a big boy!

Yes, congratulations Josh and Heather! We are so happy for you, and are eagerly awaiting tomorrow's news! In reply to your question and comment, Laura: Kazan is a Leonberger (a breed since the 19th-century, developed from Great Pyrenees, Newfoundland, and Saint Bernard). We had not heard about the breed until just a couple of days before we got him! When we got him he weighed about 9 pounds. One month later, he's about 21 pounds (although that was a couple of days ago, so my bet is that he's actually up to 22 pounds by now). We met his beautiful, boundingly friendly father, who weighs about 130 pounds. Which answers your comment! We are constantly amazed at Kazan's sweet and easy-going disposition. The best dog possible!
