And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. Josh returned to the hospital this morning to find that Heather had slept a good 5 hours and they had already had some good bonding time. Jamie then slept and slept while we talked - we began to worry that she needed to be awake and feeding more. Our worries were put to rest as Jamie did not have a happy afternoon. She decided that she would not feed long and would fuss and cry to avoid falling asleep. We found one trick - lay her on Heather and she'll sleep (at least for a little while). Obviously we'll need to wean her off of this particular trick. If you are willing, please pray for Heather and Jamie as they are spending one more night alone in the hospital and Jamie is crying quite a bit.

Oh, they are both just so beautiful! What a lovely picture!
Josh and Heather,
I will be praying tonight. I SO remember what that felt like and how it was so difficult and exciting all at the same time. Know that we are lifting you up!

The calm before the storm. May the love of our Heavenly Father wash each of you as you rest in the miracle and blessing HE has provided. What a fine baby you helped to make :)
